25th Wedding Anniversary Toast

Maybe she stupidly thought I would somehow think that was really romantic, or brave, or something, all it did was PISS ME OFF ROYALLY TO KNOW THAT SHE ABANDONED ME AS A MARRIED WOMAN. One of my mother's many faults is that she thinks she is so very smart, and other people are so very stupid. My mother, as you might guess, looked at me like she wanted to kill me. It was so special, all about our years together and their love for us. It wasn't long until we began chatting and joking together. And if you knew my mother, you would know that she would require the ultimate 25th wedding anniversary toast gift on such an occasion wed. Later, in private, she would rage at me for spilling her little secret about her secret wedding, and I would tell her , "Look, I hate secrets. The first was this beautiful scrapbook lovingly put together by my sis-in-law, sister, and mom -This album is absolutely gorgeous all the way through, filled with pictures from our 25th wedding anniversary toast and life together. Though I would try and make my presence felt today by quoting a few lines about them, the fact is that no one beyond the couple really know the value of their journey together.

My mother was enrolled at a private Catholic college, and thusly had to produce a wedding ring (and marriage certificate''') to prove she was not about to be a single mother. It has been a joy to have her serve by my side for the past eight years in the ministry. they are different people but they fill in for each other's lacunas so well that it is comendable. We used the embossed wedding napkins leftover from our reception 25 years ago, as well as the special champagne glasses and 25th wedding anniversary toast anniversary salt/pepper shakers from my parents' anniversary party 26 years ago. That is the ONLY reason that makes sense. We gathered at my brother and sister-in-law's home at dinnertime. She is a huge boost to Ellison ministry team.

It is this that makes them so perfect for each other. A Toast. My grand-father knew what was up. Anyhow, they did get married (again)with all the frills and family in attendance (except for me of course) the following August, 1970.

Having said all of this, Vonnie, I love you more today than ever before. It didn't last long and we were soon dating again. Oh she didn't say "first time" not right away ceremony. It has been a joy to have her serve by my side for the past eight years in the ministry. I would eventually learn that my mother lies about anything and everything ceremony.
